Thanking China for its long-term support and help, Barrow said Gambia looks forward to continued help from China.
"We will devote more energy and take more concrete measures in ensuring and improving people's living standards, strengthening and developing new approaches to social governance, resolutely winning the battle against poverty, promoting social fairness and justice and making steady progress in ensuring people's access to child care, education, employment, medical services, elderly care, housing and social assistance," Xi said.
"We are facing a grim situation in the fight against tomb robbers and the trafficking of cultural relics," said Chen Shiqu, deputy director of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at the Ministry of Public Security.
Barrow said Gambia will adhere to the one-China policy and work with China to strengthen cooperation to open a new chapter in bilateral relations.
