"The university has a long history of offering modeling courses for female students and they have been wildly popular," teacher Han Ming said. "However, this is the first time we've offered the course to males."
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the new administration will take charge of drawing up and coordinating immigration policies and supervising their implementation, along with dealing with border control, foreigners' stays, refugees and nationality.
The rapid development also comes with a downside. Civil aviation has occasionally been interrupted by unmanned aircraft. Last year, the administration reported 19 illegal drone flights around Chinese airports in May, which affected 326 commercial flights.
"All the actions we took this time are based on the lessons we drew from the incident that happened in Philadelphia," Qi told China Daily. "We've taken the strictest security measures to ensure a similar incident will never happen again."
The next stage was the announcement on March 22 of further tariffs on a wide range of imports from China, coupled with restrictions on technology transfer. The tariffs are to be imposed on about $50-$60 billion of Chinese goods, partly as punishment for alleged violations of US intellectual property rights by China.
"The Cultural Relics Bureau of Shaanxi province will continue relics exchanges with the US to promote culture and people-to-people exchange," Qi said, adding that the bureau also will place higher requirements on technology and security measures when it loans relics overseas.
