Lhakpa joined an expedition of five women in 2000 who convinced the government to give them a permit. She was the first Nepali woman to reach the summit and return alive.
The site, located in Fuxin Township, was a fort city along the Great Wall constructed in Han Dynasty (202 BC- 220 AD). Excavation of the site was launched in October 2014, said Chu Jingang from the provincial cultural relics institute.
This newly discovered specimen comes from the amber area of the Okanagan Valley in Kachin, north of Myanmar. Due to miners’ negligence or natural weathering, this specimen eroded along the coronal plane, lost part of its flesh and became thinner. Therefore, it was nicknamed “‘Pancake Bird”.
Compared with the current setup, the number of ministerial-level entities is reduced by eight and that of vice-ministerial-level entities by seven, according to the document.
SHENYANG -- The remains of a large building dating back around 2,000 years have been discovered in an ancient city site in Northeast China's Liaoning province, local authorities said Thursday.
